Join Yerba Buena Discos & SpinSpinNYC for our first ever pool party in Miami – Topless. Champagne specials, squirt gun battles, beach balls, bubbles and pool-side action are just some of the highlights we have planned for you at this year’s event. So bring your smiling faces to the Carlton Hotel for some booty shaking fun under the sun.

We’re very happy to announce that music will be provided by an impressive roster of guests, including Honey Dijon, who will be spinning a special disco set, and Chicago house legend Roy Davis Jr. Harley & Muscle will also be throwing down.

Singer Wayne Tennant will be performing live, and slow-mo disco fiends Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee will be keeping things funky, while house maestro Nutritious will take it deep. Abstract soul man Dean Hayze will also be blessing us with the music.

Of course, no YBD party would be complete without sets from ourselves, so expect delicious house goodness from Homero Espinosa and Allen Craig.

For our next release from Yerba Buena Discos, we’re excited to feature more remixes of our current favorite, Homero Espinosa and Allegra Bandy’s awesome Then You Smiled!

The first mixes come from Spain’s Nacho Marco, who gives us a techno soul mix that layers Allegra’s happy vocals with old-school acid and new-school keys. His explosive dub drops the vocals to focus on the slowly building tech groove.

Then, Homero himself teams up with labelmate Allen Craig for two new mixes, a swirling deep house take on Allegra’s vocals and an even deeper dub.
Finally, futuristic cosmo-funk alien The Birds & The Beast (aka BNTB) blesses us with a deep, slow-motion groove. Check out that bassline!

Supernova features additional vocals from Dahrio Wonder and comes with diverse remixes from labelmate Allen Craig, jackin house favorite DJ Jaz, Bay Area drummer Triple C, and Toil & Trouble (a collaboration between YBD’s Homero Espinosa and San Francisco’s Rob G). YBD SAMPLER VOL. 1

Yerba Buena Discos is proud to announce our latest release, the YBD Sampler Vol. 1. It features two songs by label founders Allen Craig and Homero Espinosa. Their sound of the moment is a retro-futuristic fusion of classic deep house vibes and modern beats. Allen gives us “Yes I Am”, a timely mix of electro-acid hooks and old-fashioned piano, wrapped in a cloud of bubbling post-modern deep house. Homero’s contribution is “A Night On Spring Street”, a 90s-style stunner that chops up classic New York-style piano house for a new generation and then overlays that with potent jazz keys.

Our 21st release comes courtesy of label-head Allen Craig, who brings us his Medusa EP. “I Need Ya” is a retro-90’s deep house affair (with bonus remixes from Homero Espinosa!), while “Hey Part 2″ is a soulful tech affair that picks up where last year’s successful “Hey” left off – bass for days! The track “Medusa” rounds things off with a shot of minimalist deep house.

Our friends Ill Mondo are back with a new, free download! “ILLSTRUMENTALS” is the instrumental version of Ill Mondo’s debut LP with rapper Neal Rames. Ill Mondo says “We got some requests for the instrumental versions of the beats, and we are proud of the production on that record, so we decided to release the instrumental beats for free.”
